Donna Louise Designs

Westcliff on Sea, United Kingdom.

Donna Louise has trained as a flat surface designer specialist. She has worked with fabrics and a host of other materials for the fashion and interior design industry.

From soft furnishings/homewares to the textile apparel. Donna Louise is versatile & pragmatic in her approach to any project, and this with her instinctively creative nature makes her an exciting and inspirational artist.

Donna was at college for 7 years studying design. Her timetable consisted of a whole range of subjects including photography, printing, sculpture, fashion and textiles, ceramics, cultural studies, fine art and computer studies. During her final year she studied fashion and textiles and through doing this she found her strength and passion, surface design.

“I loved experimenting with different printing techniques on all sorts of material and learnt to manipulate the images on to an apple mac computer.

That’s how I learnt my love of imagery and left college with a H.N.D fashion and textiles qualification.

After leaving college I felt like I’d been kicked out into the cold, I wasn’t sure where to go, there was no support. I knew I needed experience in the industry, but I wasn’t sure which field because I’m a very versatile designer.
I decided I would go for experience in a fashion studio and I scored a placement with John Richmond but it didn’t lead anywhere. Then I did a business management course with Prince’s Trust and was awarded a loan to start up my own business.”

Donna Louise has designed an exclusive range of cushion covers, these are not just cushion covers, they are perfect stylish accessories to set off any piece of furniture, modern or classic. Each design carries her signature of freshness, bringing originality to your home.

She also sells very original digitally designed art work already stretched framed and ready to hang. At the moment her designs consist of beautiful parrots and retro designs. The inspiration for these designs originated when she did some work a fashion company in London. She designed beautiful parrot images that were destined for chiffon jackets, skirts and shirts but sadly the company stopped trading so now she presents these images the best way possible by blowing them up and having them professionally framed.

You will never see birds like these, they are beautiful, so vibrant in colour and tasteful.
